FYME Press Release
September 15, 2025

Today we’re excited to share with all of you the launch of a new project: Shared Identities, a European initiative that will run for 24 months, from September 2025 to August 2027. Coordinated by MUS-E Hungría (MUS-E Magyarország), the project involves the participation of MUS-E Alemania (MUS-E Deutschland e.V), the Associação Yehudi Menuhin Portugal (AYMP) and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Spain (FYME), which will work together to address the development of personal, cultural, and European identity through the arts.

The project will be carried out at four schools: St. Hildegardishaus in Düngenheim (Germany); Lázár Ervin Általános Iskola in Budapest (Hungary); the Manuel Ferreira Patrício School Group in Évora (Portugal); and CEIP Vicálvaro in Madrid. At these schools, the art sessions will be integrated into classroom life with the participation of students, teachers, and families, following the MUS-E methodology of education through art.

The activities will revolve around four main themes, organized by semester: “My Roots and Traditions,” “My Environment,” “My Connections to the Community,” and “My Dreams and Aspirations.” Through these themes, you will encourage children to explore where they come from, what the place where they live is like, what ties they have to their community, and how they envision their future—always through creative and participatory activities.

The methodology will combine music, dance, movement, storytelling, and other artistic disciplines to promote inclusion, respect for diversity, and a sense of belonging. Throughout the project, participants will create collaborative works and materials that reflect these shared identities, which you will be able to share among the four countries and with the international MUS-E network.

The Shared Identities program is co-funded by the Programa Erasmus + de la Unión Europea.
