Shared Identities: Presentation of the International Meeting and Artistic Training in Évora to Strengthen the Project’s Networking Efforts

On April 23, the Portuguese city of Évora hosted another international meeting of the European project “Shared Identities – Identidades Compartidas,” featuring an inaugural institutional presentation at the Palácio Dom Manuel alongside Évora’s Councilor for Education and Social Welfare and the director of the Manuel Ferreira Patrício School District. This event served to situate the meeting within the framework of collaboration promoted by the project, coordinated by MUS-E Hungría and developed in collaboration with MUS-E Alemania, Associação Yehudi Menuhin Portugal and the Fundación Yehudi Menuhin España. Cooperation among organizations, schools, and artists from different countries is part of the project’s approach and of the European MUS-E network itself.

This training aligns with one of the core principles of Shared Identities: not limiting the project to classroom activities with children, but also extending the experience to teachers and those preparing to become teachers. In this way, the Évora meeting not only continued the project’s artistic work but also strengthened the creation of professional connections and the exchange of methodologies among schools, artists, and the university community. This element of cooperation is consistent with the project’s focus, as presented by the MUS-E network as an arts-based learning initiative developed in an inclusive and innovative manner across several countries.
