From April 22 to 24, 2026, the second meeting of Shared Identities – Identidades Compartidas took place in Évora, an initiative coordinated by MUS-E Hungría en la que trabajan conjuntamente MUS-E Alemania, Associação Yehudi Menuhin Portugal y la Fundación Yehudi Menuhin España.
On the first day of the event, following the official welcome, the group had the opportunity to explore Évora’s cultural heritage—and, through it, part of the Portuguese team’s identity—during a guided tour of the Palácio Dom Manuel Interpretation Center. In addition, they visited the Garcia de Resende Theater to gain insight into the world of theater, both in terms of its stage performances and the building itself and how it operates.
The afternoon took place at the Escola Cruz da Picada, where there was a presentation of the school and an arts training session for teachers and artists led by José Manuel Barbero, representing the FYME. On the second day, the program continued in full swing at the school with a joint workshop on Hungarian music, followed by four simultaneous workshops led by artists from Spain, Portugal, Hungary, and Germany for different classes at the school.
To wrap up the event, the group shared traditional music and dances from the Alentejo region. This latest gathering allowed us to continue making progress toward the goals of Shared Identities, which focus on inclusion, diversity, and building connections between schools in Budapest, Düngenheim, Évora, and Madrid through collaborative artistic work. The gathering also allowed the teams to get to know each other better and continue building the shared identity that gives meaning to the project.
